Paint Week!

We broke down and hired painters! They will paint most of the downstairs and the stairwell THIS WEEK.

I am so nervous!

I know I shouldn't be and that we can always change what I don't like, but I'm having a hard time fighting off the thought that I am going to hate every color I picked out. Especially the ones I picked out toward the end of my obsession with making a decision. There are three colors I gave little to no thought to. I just bought some gallons so I could move on with my life. It's probably best that I live too far away from work to run home at lunch or whenever to check on things. I'd drive those poor guys nuts.

Anyhow, they are starting with the living room today. I'll let y'all know how it goes!

  1. So, I will try again to post a comment. I have failed as a Mother to not let you know that flat paint is needed on ceilings! Oil is best on trim and eggshell on walls, but you know all of that now. You learned the hard way by expensive purchase of paint. I am sure it can be put to good use in various places throughout the house. I can't wait to see pictures of how the paint is coming along as you get some of the color up to contrast with the white. I have every confidence in your choices. Your blog is delightful!

    Love, Mom

  2. I thought the colors were pretty, and I think I learned that whether you think about it for weeks or minutes, you're only going to be so sure before it goes on the walls. But I thought the colors were very pretty and I'm sure you'll feel great once it's all fresh and clean and DONE. :)

  3. I am sure that you picked great ones! And paint is always the cheapest thing to fix anywhere... now I don't know about hiring painters again being cheap, but I'm sure it will all turn out great!
